Push It Back

running on the treadmill,
stretching these legs
do you know what it is to be Human?
when the Chemicals pour in;
hair growing out thick
curled and sweat-dripping
aloe-cooling a burn.
when the needle gags into the skin
i hold the syringe steady:
ready to be a Man
so i watch the push:
so i stay loose legged and sterile
this is how i make a Human.

some kind of frankenstein
80s creatine bulked up boner;
pulsing veins and arteries pushing fucking adrenaline.
gina x says it best
nice mover.

pushing conveyor belt back and
sandpaper shredding my men’s sketchers
sweating out the sweetness around my lips;
drinking pickle juice for the salt
i’m a pinching taste dripping in
70s nylon swishing athletics

and i’m tooth bared and tense; straining like a Devil dog
at the chain collar of my sports bra
hairs on end and bristling against the stares of other men
duran duran has never known hunger like this dog
